Do you want to be delightful?
Let’s find out how…
At our ranch there are good trees and bad trees
We went to Ojo De Agua with Pastor Edwin near Comitan in Mexico and saw some tree planted by the water..
Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
Jeremiah 17:8
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
Matthew 7:
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
A good tree can not bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
A Delightful Land

Malachi 3:12 –
“And all nations will call you blessed,
For you will be a delightful land,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
Two different trees
At our ranch there are 2 different trees. One is good. The other is not:
The Good Tree
The Oak is known as the “tree of wisdom”

Proverbs 2:6
For the Lord gives wisdom,
and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
The Useless Tree
Chinese tallow tree or “Popcorn” – one of the invasive species

The Difference between the righteous and the wicked
Malachi 3:13-20
13 “Your words have been harsh against Me,”
Says the Lord,“Yet you say,
‘What have we spoken against You?’
14 You have said,
‘It is useless to serve God;
What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance,
And that we have walked as mourners
Before the Lord of hosts?
15 So now we call the proud blessed,
For those who do wickedness are raised up;
They even tempt God and go free.’”16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,
And the Lord listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord
And who meditate on His name.17 “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
“On the day that I make them My jewels.[a]
And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.”
18 Then you shall again discern
Between the righteous and the wicked,
Between one who serves God
And one who does not serve Him.
Matthew 15:13
13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.
Psalm 92:13
12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
To Be Delightful You Need To Delight The Lord First.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
How To Delight The Lord…
Obey His Laws..
Here’s the Law…
The Great Commandment
The 10 Commandments is summed up in the Great Commandment
Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
The Great Commission is the Law.
Matthew 28:
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen
5 Qualities of A Tree Planted in a Delightful Land
Psalm1: 3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
1.You’re like a tree.
You come from a good seed – You love God
You’re a good seed, planted in fertile soil based on the Word of God. Your first priority is to worship and glorify God
You belong to God
2. You’re’ planted by the rivers of water. There are a lot of other trees there with you.
You realize you’re Not alone- you love others
You part of the forest and you share the blessings with them
3. You’re always growing…
You are NOT a Goat!
Your goal is to grow and become like Christ
4.Your leaves shall not wither…
Your leaves stay green because you are always serving others
Green is Life.
When you give you get. When you serve your priceless. When you bless others, you’ll be blessed.Always ministering other
Are you ministering to others?
5. You bring forth good fruit
An Oak Tree Nut or Acorn is good.
Everyone wants the acorn because it is a good fruit.
When we give fruit we multiply.
Jesus tell us to Go and Make Disciples- Bringing new people into God’s Kingdom is is a good fruit.
Here’s how to multiply…
Multiply As My Cows
We have black Angus Cows. They are considered the best stock.
We don’t eat them, we just breed them on our ranch.
We are changing the Land at our ranch
It was bad earth bad trees
Now it’s a delightful land
We had zapp grass at our ranch. We plowed it up and planted beans. Now the land is bearing good fruit.
II Corinthians 9
6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:
“He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever.”
10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.
Because you keep his commandments whatever you do shall prosper.
Are You a Delightful Tree Planted in Good Soil?
Psalm 1: 3
He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither
And whatever he does shall prosper.
