Last year around this time we informed you of how we were anticipating great things for God’s Kingdom in 2015.

Yes, 2015 was a great year. Because of your partnership, we multiplied disciples in many parts of the world.

A New Mexican Missions Agency?

In January we began preparations for a major event in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas.

Globe Mexico, a Latin American missionary sending agency began its infant stages. On February 4-6 Doug Gehman, Brad Thurston and I delivered 16 hours of orientation for potential missionaries and leaders in Chiapas Mexico.  The response was even greater than expected. 100-150 met daily for 4 days.

Cristi Became a U.S. Citizen

In March we worked on Perspectives training at Globe International and our daughter Cristi became a U.S. Citizen on March 24th.

After almost 15 years of going through an adoption process this was a really special occasion.

I became a Kairos Facilitator

Kairos means a propitious moment for decision or action. The vision of Kairos is to see the whole Church mobilized for cross-cultural mission to the world’s least-reached peoples. Jamie Carr and I  took the course and became facilitators in May. We will be using this intensive 40 hour course to teach our perspective Mexican missionaries about God’s perspective of the World.

 

In June & July Our family ministered in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico

One of the highlights was holding a town prayer meeting in a mostly Christian village where the local witch was causing chaos. We also celebrated our Cristi’s 15 birthday in Mexico. This Quinceañera marks the transition from childhood to womanhood in Latin America.

 

July 18-  A new missions agency is born

On July 18, 2015 the official Mexican non-profit organization papers were signed and Misión Global became the latest addition to the Globe Network of missionary sending organizations.   20 young people were interested in submitting applications in the hope of being among the first missionaries to be sent out with the agency. In August and September I traveled to Asia with Doug Gehman and other Globe missionaries.

My role in Globe International Church Planting and Disciple Making Ministries is growing. It was an honor to visit many of Globe International’s church planting missionaries in 4 different Countries – Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.  We visited house churches and saw over 200 Hindus make decisions to serve the Christ. November 20-22 Globe Mexico Orientation

I traveled to Chiapas again in November and participated in passing out material and spiritual food to the needy.  Then we held our first orientation for potential missionaries in Mexico. It was called Envíame 2015 which means “send me”. We were pleased to have 8 candidates attending the orientation. Some of our main training emphasis was on core values, partnership development, disciple making and the need to reach the least reached Peoples of the earth.

 

December- Visiting Globe Hope Orphanages in Nicaragua

Our family made a trip to share practical disciple making tips in the Children of Destiny orphanages in Los Cedros and Jinotega, Nicaragua. We celebrated Christmas by telling of how God gave, Jesus gave and we should all give our lives to Him. We also gave shoes (crocs ) to the kids.

Christ hasn’t returned yet!

We still have work to do.  During the year 2016 we already have trips to Mexico, Europe and Asia planned.   Thanks for your partnership!
