2 of our crusade events, one in Barrió Guadalupe, Larrainza , and the other in Rio Jordon, Chamula, each had over 1500-1800 people in attendance.
How Many Decisions to Serve Christ?
We would invest in 6000 gifts anytime, even if it meant just one child dedicated his life to Jesus. It’s hard to count salivations and I also struggle with being “evangeLAASTIC” but we can safely say we had hundreds of kids come forward for salvation.
Here’s some more highlights from Our 2012 Christmas ministry…
A Community built on top of a Garbage Dump
On Dec 31st we gave out gifts and ministered to the people in a district of Chiapas called Ruiz Ferro, Chiapa de Corzo.. In the better parts of this area families lived in homes made of pieces of aluminum and the poorest made their homes out of pieces of cardboard and felt … the whole district is built on top of a landfill making the living conditions unthinkable.
In 2 Events 1/3 of the Children Received 2 Gifts!
In Cancuc Pozo, a Tzental Indian Church and Cruzton, A Tsotzil Indian Church, the Pastors worked hard inviting kids from the surrounding neighborhoods.
Here’s what made these events events even more awesome….
In each church, when we gave the invitation for first time commitments to Jesus, Over 1/3 of the kids came forward and prayed a prayer of salvation.
That’s 1/3 of the children who received 2 gifts- A toy and the gift of eternal life. WOW!
Who is in Control?
Poloh, Chenalho is controlled by the Zapatistas (Army of National Liberation). This revolutionary leftist group based in Chiapas has been in a declared war “against the Mexican state” since 1994.
I had the privilege of being the first missionary to ever go into this place. We had a big fiesta in this church since this was our 1st time to be able to give out Christmas gifts in this very poor place.
This church is growing quite rapidly once again proving that God is in control.
