What you do matters. Because of you we are now in our 28th year as career missionaries. We have mainly ministered in Mexico concentrating on Church planting, equipping servant leaders, assisting the poor and raising up the next generation (children and youth).
Over the last few years we began making changes in your missions’ ministry. God has been working in our hearts, continually reminding us of the need to reach the least reached nations and disciple them to multiply disciples:
- There are 7,275,084,000 people in the world today. There are 3,067,186,000 (41% of the world’s population) un-reached people in the world today.
- 1,600,000,000 of these people live in South Asia
- There are 16,315 people groups. 6,564 OF THOSE GROUPS ARE UNREACHED
Because the need is so great, last year I began traveling to places in Asia and Europe where as few as 2% of them know Jesus Christ.
Since we were first sent out in 1989 we were part of Globe International, our missions sending agency. Globe International is a non-profit organization that exists to make disciples, plant churches and reach nations. They also provide accountability, send out our newsletters and provide tax deductible receipts to our financial partners.
God has been opening more and more doors for us to minister as leaders within the Globe Network which also consists of missions’ agencies in Europe, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
How What You Do Matters…
My leadership role with you and the Globe Network is increasing but I can’t do this without you. Here’s three ways your partnership in the ministry is making a difference.
1. Disciple Making & Church Planting Movements
In Mexico we have been blessed to plant new churches. When we tuned over the ministry to nationals we had over 200 churches under our covering. We will be using what we’ve learned from this experience to assist Globe missionaries with disciple making and church planting. Asia is already implementing these multiplication movements.
On August 19-September 18, 2015 Doug Gehman and I traveled to the 10/40 window again to visit missionaries who concentrate on transforming communities among the least reached peoples by planting biblical churches.
While in Asia we had the joy of seeing over 200 Sri Lankan people who had never previously heard the Gospel come to Christ. A new church plant began and over 100 of them attended it the first Sunday!
2. Training Mexican Leaders and Goer to Reach Nations
A couple of years ago our team (Doug Gehman, Brad Thurston, Jamie Carr, Jorge Gutierrez) began plans to send out Mexican missionaries to the World. On July 18th, 2015 Misión Global became a registered non-profit organization in Mexico.
We have several Mexicans who have already submitted their applications to become Goer. We could possibly be sending out new Mexican missionaries within the next six months. I am privileged to serve as President/ director this organization which is based out of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico.
3. You Make It Possible for Us to Be Your Hands and Feet
Since not everyone has the time nor the means to physically go to other Nations I can do that for you- but I could never do it without you.
I’m just the messenger. You’re the hero.
My job is not just to make disciples, raise up new churches and reach the least reached nations. My job is to involve you. That’s the purpose of this writing. This ministry is your ministry. What a honor to team up with you, pray for you, and keep you informed on what’s happening.
The end result is “We Make a Global Difference Together!”
Obeying Christ and His Great Commission
It’s a privilege to follow Christ as His servants in this age and culture. I live to share the truth of Jesus worldwide. As a disciple, my goal is to make disciples who make disciples. I am convinced that the message of life I have received from Christ is not only for me, but also for other needy people who have not had the opportunity to worship God. He is the only one who can bring the healing and wholeness that we all desperately need.
Yet this remains—I cannot go alone. The war being waged is not merely physical, but spiritual. To see the people of World embrace the gospel, we must stand together, interceding for them as our future brothers and sisters!
