Today we celebrate the day when the first missionary was sent by God the Creator from Heaven to Earth.
During this last week we had the privilege of sharing a message of love and hope with children in need in some of the poorest communities I know. Thank you to all who helped make a difference.
Today we remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said:
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)
As we read John 3:16-17 I’m reminded that,
“we can give hope and eternal life, but we can’t buy it…”
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.
Pay attention to these words from John 3:16-17:
- God
- Son
- love
- give
- believe
- everlasting life
- send
- world
- saved
Because we love and are obedient to God some of us are sent and others are senders.
The Old Testament prophets announced Jesus birth:
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
God Almighty, who made the heavens and the earth, came to be born in this world and dwelt among us:
“But when the fulness of time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman and born under the Law …” (Galatians 4: 4).
To the first people who would go to meet Jesus, an angel announced to them:
And this will be the sign to you:
You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2: 12-14).
This Jesus came to meet humanity living among us:
He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God,
to those who believe in His name (John 1: 11-12).
God gave us the privilege of being called sons and daughters of God. Even though we were sinners, we are forgiven and restored. By faith in Jesus Christ and his redemptive work we are His.
In trust, obedience and gratitude, let us fully live what he has done for us. Because we have been reconciled with him and with others, with a clear purpose:
“… to serve him with holiness and righteousness,
and to stand before him all our life” (Luke 1: 74-75).
May Jesus bless everything in your life, family and finances as we celebrate the gift of eternal life Jesus provided for us on the cross!

El Primer Misionero ha llegado
Hoy celebramos el día en que el primer misionero fue enviado por Dios el Creador desde el Cielo a la Tierra.
Durante esta última semana tuvimos el privilegio de compartir un mensaje de amor y esperanza con los niños necesitados en algunas de las comunidades más pobres que conozco. Gracias a todos los que ayudaron a hacer la diferencia.
Recordamos las palabras del Señor Jesús, que dijo:
“Más bienaventurado es dar que recibir.” (Hechos 20:35)
Al leer Juan 3: 16-17 me acuerdo que,
“podemos dar esperanza y la vida eterna, pero no podemos comprarlo …”
Porque tanto amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.
Porque Dios no envió a su Hijo al mundo para condenar al mundo, sino para que el mundo sea salvo.
Preste atención a estas palabras de Juan 3: 16-17:

- Hijo
- amar
- dar
- creer
- vida eterna
- enviar
- mundo
- salvar
Debido a que amamos y somos obedientes a Dios, algunos de nosotros son enviados y otros envían.
Los profetas del Antiguo Testamento anunciaron el nacimiento de Jesús:
“Porque un niño nos es nacido,
hijo nos es dado, y el principado sobre su hombro;
y se llamará su nombre Admirable, Consejero,
Dios Fuerte, Padre Eterno, Príncipe de Paz.” (Isaías 9: 6)
Dios omnipotente, que hizo los cielos y la tierra, vino a nacer en este mundo y habitó entre nosotros:
“Pero cuando vino el cumplimiento del tiempo, Dios envió a su Hijo, nacido de mujer y nacido en virtud de la Ley … “(Gálatas 4: 4).
Un ángel anunció a las primeras personas que iría al encuentro de Jesús,
Esto os servirá de señal: Hallaréis al niño envuelto en pañales, acostado en un pesebre.
Y repentinamente apareció con el ángel una multitud de las huestes celestiales, que alababan a Dios, y decían:
!Gloria a Dios en las alturas,
Y en la tierra paz, buena voluntad para con los hombres!
(Lucas 2: 12-14).
Este Jesús vino al encuentro de la humanidad viviendo en medio de nosotros,
“A los suyos vino, pero los suyos no lo recibieron. Mas a todos los que lo recibieron, a quienes creen en su nombre, les dio potestad de ser hechos hijos de Dios (Juan 1:11-12).
Sí, Dios nos dio el privilegio de ser llamados hijos e hijas de Dios. Aún siendo pecadores, somos perdonados y restaurados. Por fe en Jesucristo y su obra redentora somos suyos.
En confianza, en obediencia y en agradecimiento, vivamos plenamente lo que él ha hecho por nosotros. Porque hemos sido reconciliados con él y con otros, con un claro propósito: “…para servirle con santidad y justicia, y estar en su presencia toda nuestra vida” (Lucas 1:74-75 DHH).
Que Jesús llene todo en tu vida, familia y finanzas al celebrar el don de la vida eterna Jesús proporcionada por nosotros en la cruz
