My Call To Missions
I first went down to Mexico on a bootcamp trip in 1985. As we were traveling through a small town Goer Roger West told me that there was no Christian Church in this place.
That’s when I looked around and realized that if no one tells these people about Christ they could all be destined to spend eternity without God.
I felt highly impressed and called by God to be the person to “go” to this mission field because I desperately wanted to see souls saved and disciples made for Christ in Mexico and all over the world.
I made a few more missionary trips and in January of 1989 I began full time ministry when I arrived in Guadalajara, Jalisco with Tino Gutierrez. Later we ministered in Jocotepec, Jalisco and also San Luis Potosi, SLP where my wife, Ana is from. We met in 1990 and were married on Nov 7, 1992.
Cristi was born on Sept 19, 2000 in Chiapas. We moved to Tuxtla Gutierrez in 2006 where we are currently ministering as Church planters.
On May 6th, 2013 our missions agency, Globe International, celebrated it’s 40 Anniversary.
During the banquet something funny happened: We were presented an award for 28 years of service… even though we were just completing 24 years.
It was my fault the mistake was made because I informed the directors I first went to Mexico in 1985 and failed to explain the dates fully. I didn’t know the date would be used for an award at a banquet.
We felt awkward. Even though not many others knew of the simple mistake, we wanted to clarify the dates because it’s important to us to demonstrate integrity in ministry. That’s why Globe International is our covering and are members of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
Your Call To Missions
Now You Can Partner With Us As We Celebrate 25 Years of Changing Lives

We realize we couldn’t have served Christ for so long without you.
Our mission’s agency wants us to become fully funded missionaries as missionary veterans.
We are assigned the fun task of connecting with as many friends as possible to share the vision and give people an opportunity to partner with us financially.
If you’re not doing so, your monthly gift of $10, $100, or $300 will connect you with the blessing, the joy, and the eternal reward of becoming the expression of Christ to the people of Southern Mexico and all over the World.
So far, this process has been a priceless opportunity for me and Ana to fine-tune our communication skills with each other, and to invite others to join in on exciting work already going on in Chiapas.
Serving Christ Together,
Ed, Ana & Cristi
