Every Saturday night Mexican young people meet in a small room to concentrate on disciple making. It’s unique since everyone speaks English as a second language. Our purpose is to love God, love others, and make disciples for Christ.
We read and discuss a Bible story every week. The question is asked,
“How can I obey this Bible passage?”
Then our disciple makers make commitments to share the story with other people. They also commit to share their testimony with people God has placed on their hearts.
On July 2nd, 2016 we asked everyone to share testimonies of how they obeyed Christ during the past week. Here are some awesome praise reports!
- Cristi, Juan Marcos, and some of our other disciple makers went to the local hospital where many families of patients camp-out outside of the hospital because they come from out-of-town and can’t afford to rent a hotel. Our disciple makers passed out tortas (submarine sandwiches) and then begin praying for the sick. After an afternoon of sharing their testimony and God’s great story over 50 people responded to their invitation to follow Christ.
- Fernando is a former atheist who just started following Christ. He is very intelligent and learned English by watching movies. He is sharing Christ with all his friends and making a big impact for the Kingdom of God. He even has a desire to become a foreign missionary.
- Josh and Diana Britnell are moving here to Chiapas to administrate our Globe Mexico mission agency. God miraculously provided them a nice home. As we were signing the contract on the home we had a wonderful opportunity to pray for the landlord’s son who has to travel to Mexico city for health issues. Praying for people’s needs is an excellent way to begin sharing the Gospel with those who are far from Jesus.
Thank God for these wonderful testimonies and thank you for being a part of what God is doing here in Mexico and in other parts of the world!
