Mission: Asia

During the month of September I was privileged to travel to Asia with the directors of Globe International, Doug and Beth Gehman.
Many parts of Asia are 12 hours ahead of us so when it’s 12:00 a.m. in the USA it’s 12:00 p.m. there. I was thinking about this because time really does matter to God. The eternal destiny of eternal souls is determined in time.
There is a little more than one non-Christian per second dying and entering into a Christ-less eternity. God is being robbed of willing worshipers who glorify Him every time these souls enter into hell apart from Him.
Thailand
We arrived in Bangkok. It’s mostly Buddhist but that said, I felt a receptiveness to us as Christians.
The purpose of going to Thailand was to travel to Chiang Mai to encourage Asian missionaries from 5 different countries. That leads me to the answer to a question many have asked me;
“Edwhy are you traveling to these countries? Here’s my answer;
My purpose is to fulfill God’s Great Commission by promoting missions, equipping and edifying missionaries, making disciples and planting new churches.

Goer are human beings with real life needs. I was touched as the missionaries shared their difficulties in ministry while ministering to the lost in their Asia countries. Please pray for them.
Kathmandu, Nepal
Kathmandu is one of the most exotic cities I’ve ever visited. It’s dirty with lots of people, sights, sounds, tastes and smells. There are Buddhists, Hindus and a fast growing Christian population. In fact, according to Disciple all Nations, Nepal is the fastest growing Christian Country in the World .

China
I felt controlled and oppressed as soon as I entered into China. I couldn’t take pictures freely and had to watch the language I used since “M”s are not allowed into China. China wasn’t on top of my list of favorite countries to visit until…. we met with the college age new church members. They were on fire and clearly not satisfied with complacent Christianity. These young people were concerned with changing China. That explains why China is the second highest percentage of Christian growth in the world.
China Highlights:
While at Starbucks, I felt I should share my faith with a group of students who were learning English. Through my obedience to God, seeds were sown for the Gospel as we soon realized that the whole restaurant was watching us.
Free Brinks
I was amused at some of the misspelled signs in English. You can get free “brinking” water in the same place as the toilets in Asia.

During the month of October we will be in Germany at the Globe Missions Summit which is for equipping missionaries. We then travel to Scotland in November where we’ll be implemented church planting models. The cost for this trip is $2500 if you would like to donate towards our missions trip.
In December I’ll be in Mexico concentrating on sending missionaries out from Mexico.
I’ve been ministering on the streets here in the USA because it doesn’t make since to me to just go to another Country to share the Gospel. We are all missionaries, no matter where we’re located.
