You and I have heard the Gospel. But 2 out of every 5 people on earth have never heard of Christ. Not even once.
This is an injustice We must tell these needy people about Christ.
We can’t do it all, but we will do our part!
Unreached People Groups Vision
Globe’s UPG Initiative is to reach highly receptive people groups who have never heard the Gospel. We accomplish this strategy through the mobilization of new Christ followers, missionaries, and our ministry partners. As director of Disciple Making Movements with Globe International, I’m a vital link between our 200 plus missionaries and our home offices.
My personal vision is to plant 5,000 churches among the unreached by the year 2025.
Our family is especially burdened by UPG’s in Southeast Asia.
On August 17 Ana & I be traveling to Thailand, Bngld*sh, V**tn*m, Ind*n*s*a and Malaysia to share Christ with those who have no access to the Gospel. We call these people Unreached People Groups or UPG’s.
Unreached People Group: Rohingya (Pronounced Row-Hin-Juh)
The UNHCR estimates an unprecedented 68.5 million people around the world have been forced from home. Among them are nearly 25.4 million refugees, over half of whom are under the age of 18.
We’re very concerned about the approximately 1.5 million Rohingya from Myanmar. Rohingya are one of the 7000 Unreached People Groups (UPG’s) representing 3 billion people that lack a viable witness for Christ.
CNN reports Rohingya Muslims are among the most persecuted people in the world. Last year, over 650,000 Rohingya exiled from Myanmar to Bngladsh. We believe that since these persecuted people have been forced from their homeland because of racial oppression they are a ripe harvest field for the Gospel of Christ.
One of the biggest needs in the refugee camp is clean water which will help the Rohingyas with many health issues. We’ve teamed up with Filter Of Hope to provide water filters for these desperately needy people. As such, we’ll be setting up water stations in Bnglad*sh.
