As you know, one of the ways I serve is as disciple making director for Globe International.
That’s why this week I’ve been in the USA assisting in training, sending and serving Globe International missionary candidates for the last 6 days.
Here’s some of the things we taught our candidates:
- our core values which are faith, mercy and service.
- how to share your faith and make disciples no matter what your ministry is.
- How to begin to raise funds to go on to the mission field
- The importance of having prayer and financial partners
- How to send out newsletters to keep senders informed
- How to protect your family and raise your children in a foreign Country
In addition to serving our missionaries I also want to serve you.
Last week I talked about “if you want something, give it away”.
Then Jesus said to his followers, “If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me. Those who want to save their lives will give up true life, and those who give up their lives for me will have true life Matthew 16:24- 25 (NCV)
??????Giving up the things we want is just the opposite of the World’s thinking.
Here’s another oxymoron…
If you want to be a great leader, add value by serving others
I know it sounds crazy but Jesus said ,”Whoever wants to be the greatest, must serve everyone else”. He proved this principle to be true as He served all humanity.
In fact, greatness is serving LIKE A SLAVE:
But it should not be that way among you. Whoever wants to become great among you must serve the rest of you like a servant. Whoever wants to become the first among you must serve all of you like a slave. In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served. He came to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many people. Mark 10:35-45 NCV
My job is not just to make disciples, raise up new churches and reach the least reached nations. My job is to serve you by involving you because this ministry is your ministry.
When it comes to obeying Christ’s great commission, we are all called to be either goers or senders.
It is my honor to serve you. Here’s some of the ways I (the goer) serve you (the sender):
- Since not everyone has the know-how, the time, nor the means to physically go to other Nations I do that for you
- By teaming up with you, we need each other.
- By praying for you!
- By keeping you informed on what’s happening
By the way, the reason I send out Saturday news updates is because I want to serve you by giving a report of how your hard-earned finances and prayers are being invested.
Thank you!
Sometimes we don’t say it often enough that’s why I want to emphasize how thankful I am for YOU!
“Muchas Gracias”
Obeying Christ together,
Ed
Helping you go and make disciples of all nations so you’ll find purpose, make a difference and realize your full potential in life.
P.S. Please leave a comment and let me know how I can serve you as your missionary ambassador to the Nations.
