Dear Friends,
Don’t miss this opportunity! You are holding in your hands an EXCITING letter that will not only change your life but the lives of people you help us reach for all eternity.
When young children are asked what they want to be when they grow up, most state occupations like doctors, firemen, policemen or superheroes. My answer to that question beginning at age twelve was ALWAYS an emphatic, “I want to be a minister!”
While in bible college I went on my first boot camp trip to Mexico. We went through a town that had no evangelical church in it. I looked around and thought,
“If NO ONE TELLS these people about Jesus Christ, their destiny could be eternity in hell”.
Right then and there God called me to GO as a missionary to the nations.
I finished bible college and in obedience to the call of Christ, began ministering as a full time missionary to Mexico in 1989.
On November 7th, 1992, I married my wonderful wife, Ana. She immediately joined me as a missionary to her own nation the very day of our marriage, as we already had our belongings packed and traveled to live in a small down in Jalisco, Mexico.
With EVERYTHING in me, I desire to see people from all over the World come to a relationship with the Lord and to experience the abundant life in Christ that you and I already know about.
How We Landed in CHIAPAS…
In 1999, We visited in Tuxtla Gutierrez Chiapas for the fist time. If you’ve heard our adoption story you know that was when God answered our prayers for a baby and placed our child Cristi in our care.
God used Cristi to move us to Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas.
The state of Chiapas is a ripe harvest field. Today, there are an estimated fifty-six linguistic groups divided into three main indigenous groups: the Mixes–Zoques, the Mayas and the Chiapa . The people of Chiapas are some of the poorest in Latin America. With 3 million inhabitants, over 70% live under the poverty line. The Zapatistas persecuted the Indian Christians in 1994. This resulted in a revival of many of theses ethnic groups. Estimates state that as many as half of the population of Chiapas are now Christians . This makes the State of Chiapas the most open to the Gospel of Christ in all of Mexico.
How We’re Making a Difference
Over the course of the last 10 years and through a series of divine events, the Lord has begun to use us for HIS purpose in Chiapas.
...that purpose is to be church planters.
“…GO into all the world and PREACH the good news to everyone, everywhere.” -Mark 16:15
We would have never imagined that we would be instrumental in the planting of multiple churches.
Besides be obedient and never giving up, our secret to success is we have never taken ownership of any ministry, title, or movement of God in Chiapas. As missionaries, we realize that the nationals can do far more than we will ever do so we simply equip them to move in their gifts and callings.
That’s why we clearly focus on making disciples for Christ and training them up to be servant leaders who will pastor exceptional life-giving churches. We now have over 250 Churches in our network and I spend most of my time encouraging the pastors and teaching in our bible schools.

On Oct 15, 1997 the Zapatistas entered Tzanembolom and began to cut up Indian residents with their machetes. During this persecution of Christians, one of our leaders named Diego was chained to a stake and about to be tortured by the Zapatistas. Fortunately he escaped and later began to Pastor a Church in the very same village which has a population of a little over 400 people. Today, his Church has over 250 members with the most fired up youth you’ll ever meet. We’re training up a dozen of these young leaders to go out to their surrounding villages and start new churches.
